Southern Armenia

Many towns have old Soviet hotels which are cheap, sparse accommodations. The cleanliness and prices can vary greatly, but you can check out such places in Yeghegnadzor, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Kajaran? and Meghri.

Cheap. Soviet hotel which has been well maintained and is still a pleasant place to stay. Quite an exception to the dozens of other Soviet hotels which are unbearably bad. Ask for a "Lux" room for an in-room toilet.

Fantastic design/decor, very "Armenian" while still being comfortable and modern. Excellent staff, beautiful garden.

Khachik's B&B

A good, solid place to stay in southern Armenia. The rooms are about $30/night per person, and they offer decent food at the restaurant.

Basen Hotel

Reasonably priced, nicely remodeled hotel with a very nice restaurant and spacious rooms.

Top end

There is nowhere to splurge yet in Southern Armenia!
